Charlie Le Mindu's "Detox-Retox-Botox" was by far the most eccentric and crazy show I've been to throughout LFW! He is well-known for his sculptural wigs and his recognisable style is innovative, sexy and often daring (clients: Lady Gaga of course,Kap Bambino & Peaches f.e.). This season he was daring for sure when he sent two models on the catwalk who were completely naked, except for the wigs, accessories and pink killer heels.
"Detox-Retox-Botox" was inspired by LA: glamour, fun and the rich and famous. You could find several pieces in his collection which mentally transported you to Hollywood or Sunset Boulevard like Cadillac lights, pink champagne, groomed poodles, the sparkling jewellery of The Oscar's red-carpet and the cheeky swish of gala ball dresses. The colour theme was the combination of flamingo pink and black, the pieces were rather simple, with the exception of some dresses made completely out of hair, with solid blocks of colour and leopard patterns. To add finishing touches, Le Mindu combined soft fabrics, hair and mirrored plastics.
